What is accreditation?
Early childhood programs accredited by
NAEYC’s National Academy of Early Childhood Programs have voluntarily
undergone a comprehensive process of internal self-study, invited external
professional review to verify compliance with the Criteria for High-Quality
Early Childhood Programs, and been found to be in substantial compliance with
the Criteria. A copy of the Criteria
can be obtained from NAEYC.
The Importance of Continuing Education-
Each year, according to state regulations
as well as National Accreditation Standards, our staff completes 25 hours of
Continuing Education. The Board of
Directors allows for 2 (two) staff education days in order for the entire
staff to take part in training.
Research has found that staff training
directly benefits children in day care.
As professionals, it is important for us
to keep learning in order to give your child the very best. 82% of our staff has been with the center
for up to 29 years. This combination
of education and experience gives you knowledgeable and caring individuals
who provide outstanding educational care for your child on a daily
basis. During a drop-in state
inspection, a licensor stated, “It was great to see staff so engaged with
the children. What great
child-centered environments you have.”
During the NAEYC validation visit, each rated staff member received
the highest score possible in each teaching criterion. This comes from a talented professional
staff.
